On March 10-11, within the framework of the project "Exit of the National Tuberculosis Program of Turkmenistan from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria" the project coordinator and assistant visited the Ahal velayat with the monitoring work. During the visit, NRCST, central office representatives met with TB patients and their relatives, talked with them and discussed the effectiveness of patient support mechanisms. The project coordinator and assistant analyzed the current work of the project staff: maintaining and recording patient documentation, correctness of filling out the reporting forms, timely entry of patient’s data. The results of the monitoring will be used to further improve the project strategy, which will strengthen the efficiency of work and improve the quality of care provided to TB patients.
