Regional workshop in Turkmenistan

 

     During May 26-28 of this year, International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) has held regional workshop and practical exercises on First Aid on Caspian seashore in Awaza district of Turkmenistan. Disaster response teams from Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took part in this event. On the opening day of the regional meeting, there was an exhibition at the hotel. All delegations of National Societies of Red Crescent presented informational materials on First Aid and image production of their societies.

 

      During three days, participants of the workshop demonstrated their knowledge and skills, changed experience and ideas on the current First Aid practices during disaster situations. The aim of the workshop was not only to test the abilities of participants on how to use FA skills during disasters, but also consider the joint working methods of several country rescue teams together in unknown circumstances. Mixed teams have effectively managed the assigned tasks and in general, workshops has been successful.
