As part of the TB project, a educational training entitled “Patient’s School” was held for TB patients undergoing supportive treatment and their family members. During the session, project’s specialists provided detailed information about the contagious nature of the TB disease and its treatment. Particular discussion and attention were given to the correct intake of tuberculosis medications and possible their side effects. Throughout the training, participants got several recommendations on how to protect of themselves in hot weather, especially during the summer months when temperatures are high.

TB patients and their relatives expressed their gratitude to the specialists of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan for the important psychosocial support they provide.
