Volunteers from the Ashgabat branch of the Red Crescent of Turkmenistan organized a New Year’s celebration for children with disabilities and those from low-income families. They carefully crafted the script, games, creative activities, and costumes for the characters to make the holiday unforgettable.

The children participated in a quest, where they helped Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden retrieve the stolen gifts. The villains—Koschei the Deathless, the Troll, Baba Yaga, and the Kikimora—had stolen the New Year surprises, and the children, together with the volunteers, had to solve puzzles and complete tasks to recover the presents. Throughout the quest, there were fun challenges such as “throw the ball into the basket,” “assemble the puzzle,” and the children particularly enjoyed the “speed dance” competition.

After the quest, the children and volunteers decorated the Christmas tree with handmade paper ornaments. Once the tree was fully decorated, Santa Claus and his helpers distributed gifts to the children. This was the highlight of the celebration, when each child received their long-awaited surprise.

The gifts were gathered thanks to the generous individuals and organizations who responded to the Red Crescent volunteers' appeal for donations.

All of this made the holiday truly magical for the children. We hope the volunteers not only gave the children joy from games and contests but also moments of happiness on this special day.
