On February 25–26, 2025, Ashgabat hosted a large-scale simulation-training titled “Enhancing Interagency Collaboration for Earthquake Risk Reduction,” organized by the State Disaster Response Team. The event united ministries, local authorities, and social institutions to practice coordinated actions during emergencies.
The National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) emerged as one of the key participants, showcasing its high professional standards and advanced technical capabilities. Within a specially equipped pavilion, NRCST specialists—first aid instructors and disaster response experts—conducted a series of workshops. They demonstrated modern methods of first aid in emergencies, including the use of portable equipment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and casualty evacuation procedures.
NRCST’s mobile medical complexes for rapid deployment in disaster zones, drew particular attention. Representatives of state agencies and local executive bodies praised the society’s operational readiness, emphasizing its role in strengthening cross-sector collaboration.
During the simulation exercises, NRCST also contributed to refining communication protocols and resource allocation strategies, reaffirming its reputation as a reliable partner in Turkmenistan’s Disaster preparedness framework. The focus was on integrating the society’s methodologies into nationwide risk reduction programs.
The event underscored NRCST’s strategic role in enhancing Turkmenistan’s resilience to natural disasters. By demonstrating its professional expertise and technical resources, the society reinforced its position as a leading organization in humanitarian response and public preparedness.
