The office of the National Red Crescent society of Turkmenistan hosted a working meeting of specialists of the NRCST with the Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Central Asia and staff of the public organization "Keyik Okara", which arrived in Turkmenistan on April 17 and 18.

The mission arrived in our country as part of a joint action plan between the Government of Turkmenistan and the UNHCR for 2023. The group of experts included Representative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees in Central Asia Hans Friedrich Schodder, Principal Legal Adviser of the UNHCR Rano Saidumarova, Refugee Adviser of the UNHCR Sergey Gaina and Project Management Monitoring Specialist of the UNHCR Bekzat Zhakupov.

Participants of the meeting on the continuation of the project "Reduction and Prevention of Statelessness" held consultations on further legal assistance and support for individual cases of reduction and prevention of statelessness, as well as a joint session on the "Code of Conduct", which was attended by project staff from NRCST and "Keyik Okara".
