July 24, 2026 — Joint large-scale exercises organized by Civil Defense and regional law enforcement agencies were held at the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi. The main objective of the maneuvers was to practice joint coordination in eliminating the consequences of a simulated industrial accident in the Caspian Sea.

According to the exercise scenario, a major accident occurred on an offshore oil platform, resulting in a simulated oil spill and a threat to the lives of the crew. Emergency services and a humanitarian mission immediately initiated response operations. Law enforcement agencies and rescue units practiced containing the disaster zone, extinguishing the fire, and evacuating victims from the compromised facility to the shore.

First Aid and Triage: Volunteers and staff of the Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (RCST) deployed a mobile medical unit, providing first aid and psychological support to the "victims."

During the training, special attention was paid to communication coordination, prompt information exchange, and clear distribution of tasks among military personnel, rescuers, and humanitarian teams.

The exercise demonstrated a high level of readiness among emergency services and the Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, confirming their preparedness for an effective response to any emergency situations in the Caspian region.
