During the period from 10 to 14 March, representatives of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) of the European and Central Asian regions were on an official visit to Turkmenistan. The main purpose of their business trip was to discuss issues of humanitarian cooperation, exchange experience and strengthen cooperation in the field of emergency response, social support for the population and adaptation to climate change. IFRC representatives highly appreciated the work of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) aimed at providing assistance and support to vulnerable part of the population, improving emergency preparedness and developing the volunteer movement. During the visit, the delegation held a number of meetings with representatives of various government ministries and facilities of Turkmenistan.
