On August 01, 2024, at the office of the Lebap velayat branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, training was conducted in accordance with the project plan “Emergency preparedness in Central Asian countries with a high risk of earthquakes and natural disasters.” The event was held with the participation of volunteers of the Lebap velayat branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and employees of the Lebap velayat education department. During the event, a representative of the UN Children's Fund gave a speech on the topic “What can be done to strengthen emergency preparedness, the actions of volunteers during emergencies, what is a volunteer and the volunteer movement” among educators and community volunteers. During the training, participants were divided into groups and talked about their understanding, actions that need to be taken during an emergency, and actions that need to be taken to be prepared for an emergency. As a result, the representative of the UN Children's Fund and the participants assured each other of cooperation and were satisfied with the training.
