From 3 to 5 November 2025, the annual ERNA meeting (European Red Cross and Red Crescent Network on HIV, AIDS and Tuberculosis) is taking place in Athens, Greece, under the theme
“Strengthening community-health response: united to address HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, TB and substance abuse.”
The event brings together representatives of Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies from Europe and Central Asia, as well as international partners working in the field of public health. The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen cooperation among National Societies and to exchange experiences in combating infectious diseases and enhancing community resilience.
As part of the programme, participants are discussing modern approaches to the prevention of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, and issues related to substance use. Special attention is given to community engagement, social support for vulnerable groups, and expanding access to medical and preventive services.
The participation of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan delegation in the annual ERNA meeting contributes to strengthening international cooperation, exchanging knowledge, and further developing initiatives aimed at protecting public health and increasing the resilience of communities in Turkmenistan.
