The National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan is an active assistant to the state in providing assistance to the population in emergencies, implementing health and life support programs, as well as disseminating knowledge about International Humanitarian Law and the Fundamental Principles of the Movement. On May 5, 2026, a specialist from the Lebap province branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, under the project “Supporting the auxiliary role of the National Society in humanitarian work”, held an educational event on the topic of International Humanitarian Law, the application and implementation of humanitarian law, humanitarian symbols, and the restoration of family ties with the participation of soldiers, sergeants and commanders of a military unit located in the city of Turkmenabat.   The soldiers and commanders who spoke during the event noted that their understanding of international humanitarian law had increased, and that they had welcomed the event organized by the specialist of the Lebap regional branch of the TGYMJ with great satisfaction.The propaganda work carried out among military personnel is not just training, but also an important state work aimed at maintaining the spirit of the defender of the Motherland and protecting the interests of the state.
