In accordance with the joint project plan of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) "Local and National Capacity for Emergency Preparedness and Response in Central Asian Countries with a High Risk of Earthquakes and Natural Disasters," a methodological training seminar on "Emergency Preparation and Risk Reduction. First Aid by a Physician" was held on October 7, 2025, at the Lebap Velayat Branch of the National Red Crescent Society, the 29th Specialized Secondary School of Foreign Languages ​​in Turkmenabat, and the 58th Secondary School in Charjau Etrap. The seminar was organized by the project's national consultant. During the training, which involved teachers, students from specialized secondary schools, and specialists from the Lebap Velayat Department of Civil Defense and Rescue Operations, practical experiences were shared on educating and raising awareness of children's needs in emergency situations, gender issues, and rules for providing first aid to teenagers, taking into account real-life situations. Effective presentations were given and relevant videos were viewed. Participants were also encouraged to implement important issues raised during the training in practice in the region.
