The presentation of the Global World Population Report 2024 dedicated to the annually celebrated World Population Day, took place on July 11 at the capital’s Yyldyz Hotel.

The document, which gives a general idea of the current situation in the world and the problems, faced by residents of different countries today, highlights issues of paramount importance to humanity. First, this concerns the empowerment of women in the field of reproductive health.

Thus, as part of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Population Fund in Turkmenistan, which confirmed the mutual interest of the parties in further cooperation to achieve common goals.
