Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Honorable President, the work being carried out in our country and the high milestones achieved are directly aimed at the welfare of the people, ensuring they live a happy, prosperous, healthy, and peaceful life. Our Motherland is rich in development across all sectors. Welcoming each year with its own worthy name, the past year has been recorded in history in golden letters, and the New Year is being greeted with great joy and excitement.

​Under the wise leadership of our Honorable President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, in the year of "Independent, Eternally Neutral Turkmenistan: The Land of Swift Horses and Fulfilled Dreams," our sovereign Motherland sets high goals and grand initiatives, moving forward at the speed of a stallion toward a bright future, consistently attracting the attention of the international community through its multifaceted successes.

​On the occasion of the New Year, the Turkmenbashy District Branch of the Balkan Province Division of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan organized a celebratory event. To lift the spirits of children under the age of 14 who are in need or registered with disabilities within the Turkmenbashy district, the New Year was celebrated solemnly, and sweet gifts were distributed. Volunteers from the Turkmenbashy District Branch visited the homes of children in difficult situations or with health challenges, meeting with them, sharing their joy, and presenting them with sweet gifts during these heartfelt moments.

​The volunteers expressed with great pride that the humanitarian work they perform leaves a deep impression on them, filling their hearts with immense joy and enthusiasm. May the lives of our National Leader, Hero Arkadag, and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar—who lead us along the bright paths of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State toward a radiant future where life’s truths prevail and destinies bloom—be long and healthy, and may their great initiatives for the benefit of the nation always be crowned with success!

 

 

 

 

THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

– Humanity

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance
without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavours, in its international and
national capacity, to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose
is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual
understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples.

– Impartiality

It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It
endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give
priority to the most urgent cases of distress.

– Neutrality

In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or
engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.

– Independence

The Movement is independent. The National Societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services
of their governments and subject to the laws of their respective countries, must always maintain
their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the
Movement.

– Voluntary service

It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.

– Unity

There can be only one Red Cross or one Red Crescent Society in any one country. It must be open
to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory.

– Universality

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status
and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is worldwide.
