The implementation of “Fire safety, risk reduction and response” project started based on the agreement signed between the Italian Red Cross and the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan. On February 24, 2017 the induction workshop of the project took place in the conference hall of Grand Turkmen hotel. Staff members of NRCST’s velayat branches and head office, as well as the staff of Fire Safety Department of the Ministry of Interior of Turkmenistan took part in the workshop. Activities to be carried out within the framework of the project were discussed during the workshop. After the workshop Guvanch Gadamov – the project cordinator wished all the participants success in their work, and emphasized the importance to increase the number of awareness raising campaigns among the population and carrying out organizational works to ensure the observance of fire safety in institutions, schools and at home.
