A seminar was held in the conference hall of the "Mary" hotel, organized in collaboration with the regional women's department, the regional health department, and the regional branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan. The event aimed to raise awareness among the population about the prevention of tuberculosis and the promotion of gender equality. The seminar was attended by employees of the education and healthcare sectors, as well as active members of the regional women's department. During the event, speeches were delivered by Akgozel Serdarova, a librarian at the central district library of Mary etrap and an active member of the district women's department; Bahar Kakalyeva, the chief specialist of the regional health department; Maya Yegendurdyyeva, a physician from the regional tuberculosis hospital; and Oguljuma Saparmukhammedova, an employee of the regional branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan. In their presentations, the speakers provided detailed information on the outcomes of initiatives aimed at preventing, diagnosing, and treating tuberculosis, as well as on the importance of offering psychological and social support to tuberculosis patients. They also shared valuable recommendations with the attendees regarding the prevention of infectious diseases.
