In November, intensive earthquake safety theoretical and practical classes was conducted in schools №25, №29, and №36 of Dashoguz velayat, jointly organized by the National Red Cross Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) and UNICEF.
The primary objective of the theoretical and practical classes was to enhance the knowledge of students and teachers regarding appropriate behavior during earthquakes and to impart essential first aid skills. Participants not only engaged in lectures but also actively practiced safe evacuation techniques and first aid procedures.
Seismic activity is a characteristic feature of our region, making the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations crucial. The theoretical and practical classes program encompassed both theoretical instruction and practical exercises. Participants gained insights into the causes of earthquakes, developed action plans for earthquake scenarios, and learned basics of delivering first aid. A total of 145 individuals, comprising students and teachers, participated in the theoretical and practical classes.
NRCST intends to continue this vital endeavor by expanding the geographical scope of the theoretical and practical classes and refining teaching methodologies.
