On April 14, the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan held a seminar entitled “Stigma and Discrimination.” The seminar discussed concepts such as “stigma and discrimination,” the causes of their emergence, and how to eliminate them. Interactive games held during the seminar helped to better understand the essence of the problem. The game about the transmission of an event from person to person showed how information changes depending on the personal perspective of each person and how far it deviates from true and correct information. But the most impressive moment was the final game with signs with inscriptions. This seminar was very important and effective, it taught each of us not only to respect a person’s living conditions, but also to respect their human dignity, to resist discrimination, and to respect every person. By changing our own perspective, we can break down the walls of misconceptions and preconceived notions that prevent people from seeing the truth and treating each other with greater humanity.
