Volunteers from the “Alada” Youth Center under the Balkan Regional Branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan conducted a series of educational sessions titled “Hygiene and Health” for primary school students in the city of Balkanabat.
The main goal of these sessions was to promote personal hygiene habits among children, encourage healthy lifestyles, and foster a culture of cleanliness within the community.
During the lessons, volunteers explained the importance of personal hygiene, as well as maintaining cleanliness at home and in school. They demonstrated proper handwashing and tooth brushing techniques, and organized engaging games and quizzes.
Children participated enthusiastically, actively sharing their thoughts and learning new skills with great interest.
Through these sessions, students gained a deeper understanding that cleanliness is the foundation of health and that taking care of oneself and one’s environment contributes to a safer and happier life. The “Alada” Youth Center continues to successfully implement educational programmes aimed at developing healthy habits and promoting hygiene culture among children.
