The lesson dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the International Committee of the Red Cross was held at secondary school No. 29 in Dashoguz. It was conducted by volunteers of the velayat branch of the National Red Crescent society.
The students learned that the International Red Committee was founded in 1863 and today works all over the world. It is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose goals and objectives are exclusively humanitarian in nature - to protect the life and dignity of people, to provide assistance to them.
The volunteers then showed the students videos about the history of the Movement and its founder, the humanist Henri Dunant, who became the first Nobel World Prize winner in 1901.
