On 26 November, a training seminar on communications and public relations was held in Ashgabat for the staff of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST), as well as for representatives of mass media who regularly cover the Society’s activities. The event organized by the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Turkmenistan with the participation of Mr. Ermek Baisalov, the ICRC Regional Communication Coordinator for Central Asia.
The seminar aimed at strengthening the ST’s capacity in the field of outreach and information management, which is an essential component of effective humanitarian response.
