The good news that in August of this year the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone brought great joy to all our compatriots. The holding of such a grand event in our country is a clear indication of the peace-loving policy pursued by the current head of state, his internationally recognized initiatives, and the growing authority of Turkmenistan. The unanimous adoption of the resolution “Procedures for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries” at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York (USA) on April 11 indicates that our country’s work in this area is highly appreciated by the international community. The tourist pearl on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea with its beautiful nature, modern infrastructure and high level of service creates all the conditions for the successful holding of this conference. This event will be a great opportunity to demonstrate the tourism potential of our country to the world, strengthen international cooperation and showcase the cultural and historical values of Turkmenistan. The conference will also address issues of development of landlocked countries and provide assistance in finding solutions to some economic, social and environmental problems. Of course, every citizen of Turkmenistan is pleased to demonstrate its position as a leading country in such important issues.
