IMPORTANT MEASURES FOR A PEACEFUL AND PROSPEROUS FUTURE

Environmental protection efforts related to climate change are underway worldwide. In this regard, our country, under the leadership of our National Leader, Hero Arkadagly Serdar, is carrying out large-scale and necessary work to preserve the environment in the face of climate change. Guided by the wise words of Hero Arkadagly Serdar, the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, together with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), has planned an effective project, on January 1, 2024, entitled "Enhancing Local and National Capacity for Emergency Preparedness and Response in Central Asian Countries with a High Risk of Earthquakes and Natural Disasters." To ensure the safe and secure lives of our people in our peaceful country, urgent local measures are continuing, involving representatives from various sectors, in accordance with the approved plan. As part of this project, on October 7th of this year, a methodological training seminar for national consultants was held at the 29th Specialized Secondary School of Foreign Languages in Turkmenabat and the 58th Secondary School in Charjav Etrap. This training included teachers and students, as well as specialists from the Lebap Velayat Department of Civil Defense and Rescue Operations. Preparing our people and our younger generation for potential emergencies, natural disasters, and man-made incidents, providing timely information, increasing their preparedness, teaching them how to behave in such situations, and providing first aid—all of this has a beneficial impact on the bright future of our people. The professional development events will last for a week.
