On December 10, 2025, Turkmenistan’s Avaza National Tourist Zone will host an important international conference — “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Expanding International Cooperation for Sustainable Development.” The forum is organized by the Government of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation and several UN agencies, providing a platform to discuss key issues related to women’s role in society.

The conference aims to enhance women’s political, economic, social and humanitarian engagement, strengthen state policies on motherhood and childhood, and expand international cooperation in the field of women’s rights and empowerment. The agenda includes discussions on state governance, the role of public institutions, economic opportunities for women, and women’s social activity in education, healthcare and environmental protection.

In addition to the plenary session, three thematic sessions will be held, bringing together representatives from various countries to exchange experience, review modern approaches and explore new avenues of cooperation. The forum is expected to result in the adoption of a Final Document and the creation of new cooperation platforms.

This international event opens new opportunities for strengthening women’s role in sustainable development and expanding global partnerships.
