As the volunteers of the National Red Crescent Society in Turkmenistan, we visited the Nursing home in Ashgabat on October 1st, to celebrate the Day of Elder People and having unforgettable moments all together on this special day! We prepared a small concert as a team, one thing that made me strongly proud was we were all ready to give our best while preparing. Main goal of everyone was the warm smile on our elders' faces we were going to see! I could see the bright shine on everyone's eyes while singing the old songs together and  showing the scenes from films they knew. Some volunteers read amazing poems with deep meanings for them. The celebration made everyone happy actually, not only the elders, but all of us!

The visit to Nursing home took a few hours, however the brilliant feelings we gained from it will last forever in hearts...

For my way of thinking, nothing can give a better sense of happiness as much as leaving a smile on someone's face. Spending time with them was a an honor to us. Even if I look for the beautiful, relaxing energy they gave me, I won't be able to find it.

As one of the volunteers there, I felt myself absolutely lucky for being part of this kind of great team which is trying to make this world a better place!
