Every year on 19 August, the global community marks World Humanitarian Day to recognize the dedication of humanitarian workers who provide assistance to people affected by armed conflicts, natural disasters, epidemics and other emergencies.
The day serves as a reminder of the importance of humanity, solidarity and compassion, while paying tribute to humanitarian personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
As a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan contributes to humanitarian efforts by assisting the most vulnerable people, strengthening disaster preparedness, promoting International Humanitarian Law, providing first aid training and implementing other humanitarian initiatives.
On this occasion, we express our sincere appreciation to all staff members, volunteers and partners whose professionalism, commitment and dedication to humanitarian principles bring hope and support to people in need.
May World Humanitarian Day remind us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
